Come stay with us

Our Flipside Villa is based 10 minutes out of Ha Giang city centre. Whether you're jumping on tour or just want to recharge, you'll love staying at our slice of paradise.

Two kinds of night

The Tour Experience

Two kinds of night on a Flipside trip: the villa in Ha Giang to start and the homestays out on the loop. Both are included in your tour.

Home base at Flipside Villa

Every tour starts and ends here in Ha Giang. It's where you get your bike, your briefing and your breakfast on day one. It's where you can leave your bags during the trip and where the ride finishes.

  • Start and end of every tour
  • Breakfast and safety briefing
  • Relax at the pool or hot tub

Homestays on the Loop

Out on the road you stay with the families we've known for years. Hmong, Tay and Red Dao homes, a shared meal, a bit of rice wine if you're up for it, and the kind of evening you don't get in a hotel.

  • Local families we know personally
  • Dinner and breakfast included
  • Where the buses do not stop

All Welcome

You don't have to book a tour in order to stay with us. If you're here and want to do your own thing entirely, that's no problem at all! We have private spaces for those who need a break from all the hustling and bustling of Vietnam. We have comfortable lounging spaces for those who need to relax and recharge for a bit. We also have desk spaces and fast internet for those who need to knuckle down and get some work done. With the pool and hot tub just outside, the kitchen on-site and bar open every night, you'll be glad you chose to stay here.

  • Double room$45
  • Triple room$55
  • Family room$60
  • Dorm bed$15

Per night in US dollars. Private rooms are priced per room, the dorm per bed.

Out on the loop

Our Homestays

Riders and their guide round a low table of breakfast dishes at a homestay
Guests and guides sitting on the mat inside a homestay with drinks between them
A guest eating with his guide while a local boy watches over the table
The group sitting on a bamboo platform above the valley, playing local pipes
A guide and two guests raising small cups of rice wine inside a wooden house
A buffalo and its calf under a timber shelter beside the house

Out on the loop you sleep in family homes rather than hotels. Hmong, Tay, Red Dao and Nung families across the north, people our guides have known for years, in villages the tour buses do not stop at.

Dinner is a seasonal feast cooked by your hosts and eaten family style, everyone round one table. Drinks if you want them, rice wine if you are up for it, and breakfast at the homestay before you ride on. Both nights are already in the price of your tour.
